For me, painting is a way to feel the world. I am inspired by the sea, light, and the quiet beauty of everyday moments. I paint what I see every day – my beloved Liepāja, the sea, flowers. I also enjoy painting portraits, as I believe that people are the most interesting thing in the world — every face tells a unique story full of emotion and life. Watercolor, on the other hand—much like light—is fragile and unpredictable; it allows one to capture a moment that is on the verge of changing.
I have studied art at Liepāja University and have had several solo exhibitions. I have also participated in the Liepāja 400th anniversary art biennale and the Karosta festival. My works are in private collections in Latvia, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States of America a.o.
The paintings shown here are created by me, inspired by the sea, beach, city, and harbor landscapes.
They can become a beautiful souvenir from Liepāja, a unique keepsake, or a heartfelt gift.
